Empowering women

On 17th of May 2011 LGL together with “Ad Hoc: Nepatogus kinas” project of the Lithuanian Centre for Human Rights organised screening of the documentary “She’s a boy I knew” at the cinema “Skalvija” to commemorate the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO).
The discussion with women’s rights activists MP Marija Aušrinė Pavilionienė, Margarita Jankauskaitė and others followed afterwards. During the discussion gender and LGBT rights issues were raised by representative of LGL and other participants.
