Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 will take place 31 July to 7 August 2010. With 34 sports and five cultural events, the Cologne Gay Games are expected to draw 12,000 participants, more than the Olympic Games. On behalf of four LGBT organisations in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania we would like to invite you to participate in the Baltic Pride 2010 in Vilnius, Lithuania, from 6 – 8 May 2010.
The Baltic Pride 2010 is an unique opportunity for human rights defenders across Europe to get together and discuss common problems and challenges.
The Swedish Embassy, in cooperation with the Human Rights Monitoring Institute and the Slovenian and Norwegian Embassies will organise a seminar on Discrimination issues. The Seminar is held in connection with the visit by Mr Thomas Hammarberg, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe.
In May three organisations from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will organise the first ever joint Pride event in Riga. The Pride event is aimed at drawing attention to the situation for LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people in the three Baltic countries and encouraging people of different sexual orientation to celebrate diversity and Baltic unity.

On 28 March, 2008, the Lithuanian Gay League (LGL) is organising a seminar on “How to tackle social exclusion in society and the media” in Conti Hotel, Vilnius.
Our political pride, and the only truly outspoken LGBT-friendly Lithuanian MP, Ausrine Pavilioniene will open the day with one of her inspirational speeches, symbolically followed by a greeting from the Equal Opportunities Ombudsperson, Ausrine Burneikiene.
During the week 16-26 of May the event called “Rainbow days 2007” will be held for the first time in Lithuania. The “Rainbow days 2007” are dedicated to highlight the importance of equality of homosexual, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) persons

The conference is dedicated to equal opportunities and non-discrimination of sexual minorities in employment and labor market. It will focus on the results and achievements of project’s partners from Sweden, France, Lithuania and Slovenia, the exchange and promotion of good practice and ideas.

From 26 July to 5 August 2006, the 1st World Outgames will bringing together lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) athletes from around the world in unprecedented numbers for a celebration of sport, culture and human rights. In the spirit of true inclusiveness, the Outgames are open to all, regardless of sexual orientation; all are welcome to participate.
